■ Today's Verse
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11)
너희는 열매 없는 어둠의 일에 참여하지 말고 도리어 책망하라 (엡 5:11)
세상에 많은 일들 가운데 어떤 일들은 그 열매가 어떤 것일지 생각해 보면 열매없는 어두움의 일인 것도 많이 있습니다. 주님께서는 우리에게 그러한 일과는 관련을 하지 말라고 하시고, 그뿐 아니라 도리어 그것들을 드러내라고 하셨는데, voice 버전에 보면 좀 더 정확히 'expose them to the light of God.'(하나님의 빛에 드러내라)고 되어 있습니다.
에베소서 5장에서는 우리에게 세월을 아끼고 지혜롭게 시간을 사용하라고 강조하고 있는데, 내가 하려는, 또는 권유받는 일들이 어떠한 열매를 가져올지를 곰곰이 생각해 봅시다. 그리고 하나님의 선한 열매를 맺는 일인지, 혹 그렇지 않은 어둠의 일이라면 도리어 책망하고 하나님 앞에 드러내는 수준으로 살아야 할 것입니다. 내 주변의 일들 가운데 그런 것은 없는지 생각해 봅시다.

■ Meditation & Application
* Isn't there any fruitless works of darkness around me? (내 주변에는 어두움의 열매 없는 일은 없나요?)
예) There are some. When I consider the fruits of the works, I can find them. (일부 그러한 일들이 있다. 그 열매를 생각할 때, 그것들을 발견할 수 있다.)
* What shall I do for those works? (그와 같은 일들에 대하여 내가 어떻게 해야 할까요?)
예) I shouldn't get involved with the fruitless works of darkness. Instead, I'll expose them to the light of God. (그와 같은 열매없는 어두움의 일에는 함께 하지 말고, 하나님의 빛 아래 드러내자.)

■ Prayer
My Lord. Please give me the wisdom to see what is right and what is wrong in the sight of the Lord. Let me have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness but reprove them. I'll just follow according to Your will and get the fruits of the works. In Jesus' name. Amen.
