무지개
먹구름이 바람을 타고
허기진 자객들처럼 몰려와
태양을 삼키고는
천둥의 창을 던지며
소낙비로 온 땅을 휩쓴다
초목들은 사지를 떨며
재판장 앞의 죄수들처럼
멍울진 눈물을 토해내고
허리를 깊이 숙인다
비가 그치자
하늘은 눈물을 거두고
그 자리에 무지개 하나 띄운다
폭우를 건너 피어오른
찬란한 깃발처럼
Rainbow
Dark storm clouds ride the wind,
Gathering like hungry assassins,
Swallowing the sun,
And hurling spears of thunder,
Sweeping the whole earth with a sudden downpour.
The plants tremble in every limb,
Like prisoners standing before a judge,
Shedding tears thick with sorrow,
And bowing low.
When the rain stops,
The sky gathers back its tears
And sets a rainbow in their place,
Like a radiant banner
Blooming beyond the pouring rain.
