1. 예배는 인간의 존재 이유

하나님께서 그분 자신이 말씀하신 바로 그 하나님이시고, 우리가 바로 그 하나님을 믿는 하나님의 백성이라고 주장한다면, 우리는 하나님을 예배해야 합니다. 나는 우리가 하나님 자신의 영에 의해 역사한 위로부터의 중생을 통해 개인적이고 영적으로 하나님을 만나는 체험을 하지 못했다면, 하나님을 숭모하는 예배 속에서 진정으로 기뻐할 수 있다고 믿지 않습니다.
The primary purpose of God in creation was to prepare moral beings spiritually and intellectually capable of worshiping Him. We are saved to worship God. All that Christ has done for us in the past and all that He is doing now leads to this one end.
If God is who He say He is and if we are the believing people of we claim to be, we must worship Him. I do not believe that we will ever truly delight in the adoring worship of God if we have never met Him in personal, spiritual experience through the new birth from above, wrought by the Holy Spirit of God Himself.

2. 우리 마음을 예배 처소로

하나님의 임재 안에 머물기 위하여 꼭 교회 안에 머물 필요는 없습니다. 우리는 우리 마음을 개인적인 예배처소로 만들 수 있으며, 어느 때나 그곳에 들어가 하나님과 은밀하게 대화를 나눌 수 있습니다. 이런 대화는 참으로 다정하고 부드러운 대화가 될 수 있으며, 누구라도 그런 것을 누릴 수 있습니다.
그렇다면 지금이라도 시작하지 못할 이유가 있을까요? 하나님께서는 우리가 이 첫발을 내디딜 때를 기다리고 계실지 모릅니다. 왜냐하면 우리가 살아갈 시간이 너무나도 짧기 때문에 우리는 우리 생애의 남은 시간을 하나님과 함께 보내야 합니다.
It isn’t necessary that we stay in church in order to remain in God’s presence. We can make our hearts personal chapels where we can enter anytime to talk to God privately. These conversations can be so loving and gentile, and anyone can have them.
Is there any reason not to begin? He may be waiting for us to take the first step. Because we have such a short time to live, we should spend our remaining time with God.

3. 진정한 예배

진정한 예배는 주일 아침 교회 예배에 한정된 좁은 의미의 활동이 아닙니다. 또 어떤 시간이나 장소에 국한된 것도 아닙니다 예배는 참 하나님을 사랑하고 칭송하는 영혼에 의해 하나님에게 드려지는 섬김의 본질적인 표현입니다. 그러므로 참 예배는 모든 성도들에 의해 모든 시간에 걸쳐 끊임없이 드려지는 활동이어야 하며, 그 활동의 목적은 단지 예배하는 사람을 즐겁게 하는 것이 아니라, ‘하나님’을 기쁘시게 해드리는 것이 되어야 합니다.
Authentic worship is not a narrowly-defined activity relegated to the Sunday morning church service – or restricted to any single time and place. Worship is any essential expression of service rendered unto God by a soul who loves and extols Him for who He is. Real worship therefore should be the full-time, nonstop activity of every believer, and the aim of the exercise to be to please God, not merely entertain the worshiper.
