■Today's Verse

His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' 

그 주인이 이르되 잘하였도다 착하고 충성된 종아 네가 적은 일에 충성하였으매 내가 많은 것을 네게 맡기리니 네 주인의 즐거움에 참여할지어다 하고 (마 25:23) 
세상에서는 시간, 돈, 재능, 이런 것들을 많이 가진 이들은 그것들을 활용하여 살고 있지만, 그렇지 않은 이들은 내가 가진 것이 제대로 있지도 않은데.. 라는 생각으로 적극 사용하지 못하는 경우가 많이 있습니다. 저 사람은 저렇게 재능도 많고 돈도 많으니 부럽구나 하고 끝나기도 쉬우나, 하나님 나라의 법칙은 그렇지 않습니다. 적은 달란트를 받았다고 사용조차 하지 않은 이에 대하여 오히려 엄중하게 책임을 묻겠다고 하셨습니다.다른 사람과 비교하여 얼마나 상대적으로 많이 활용을 했느냐가 아닙니다. 내가 가지고 받은 만큼, 그것에 비례하여 최선을 다하여 충성되게 하나님의 맡기신 것을 사용하면 되는 것입니다. 내가 받은 재능, 시간, 물질은 무엇입니까? 아주 작은 것이어도 맡긴 것만큼 활용하여 남기기를 원하십니다. 내가 나의 달란트를 활용하고 섬길 곳을 찾아봅시다.

What did God entrust to me? 예) My time, money, talents such as teaching skill, singing songs, and writing.
How can I use all that God entrusted?예) I will use my talents to serve in Sunday school in my church. 

■ My Prayer 

Almighty God. You have entrusted many things to me to use them and serve others. I confess that I did not actively make use of them. Now I hope to use them up to serve You and others. And I want to be praised as 'good and faithful servant'. In Christ's name. Amen.
