Tacoma First Baptist Church held its VBS this year from July 5 to 9.

Tacoma First Baptist Church hosted its annual Vacation Bible School earlier this month from July 5 to 9.

The VBS featured sermons and worship each day, and Bible studies led by different teachers according to age groups. Some 100 children went up to the altar to receive Christ, confessed that they are sinners, and confessed that Jesus is the son of God and that he is their Savior and Lord.

With the theme, "Jesus Sees, Knows, Saves," the VBS was attended by children as young as four years old and as old as in the sixth grade, and also featured a water theme as the children went on an underwater adventure to find the truth.

"This year's VBS was a precious time of allowing our kids to learn about God and His Word - not only Korean American kids, but also Latino, Chinese, White, and other ethnic kids in the Tacoma community," stated Tacoma First Baptist Church. "Through VBS, we hope to raise up the children in the Tacoma community to become the leaders of the next generation as they are nurtured in the Christian faith. We hope they will bring a gospel influence to their communities and to the nation through the hope and vision that Jesus gives."

Parents were invited to attend during the last day of the VBS, during which children shared about their experiences of the week. The VBS was put together and operated by 100 teachers and 50 volunteers.
